Overview
Who we are
Visionary Machines is an Australian software and sensing company with a proven, counter-drone platform, pioneering the passive detection of evolving drone threats in one of the world’s fastest-growing defence markets.
Founded in 2019 by computer vision and machine learning experts, we design, develop and manufacture in Australia, with operations in Sydney, Oxford, Washington and Singapore. Our team spans computer vision, machine learning, aerospace engineering and defence systems integration, led by executives drawn from the global aerospace primes.
The problem we solve
Uncrewed aerial systems have created a critical capability gap in the security frameworks of governments, defence forces and critical infrastructure operators worldwide. Drone incursions at airports, critical infrastructure sites and military installations are accelerating across allied nations, and the technology has moved faster than the systems built to detect it.
Radar
Struggles with small, slow targets in cluttered environments.
Radio frequency
Depends on a drone transmitting a signal, and increasingly autonomous dark drones do not transmit.
What we do
Our Pandion™ platform is patented passive optical sensing technology that combines multi-camera 3D reconstruction across visual, near-infrared, shortwave infrared and longwave infrared spectrums to produce real-time, measurable, georeferenced 3D representations of the world, in all weather and lighting conditions and in GPS denied environments.
Detects, tracks, classifies and targets drone threats simultaneously across air, land and sea. Because Pandion emits nothing, it is undetectable, un-jammable and electronically silent.
Extends the same passive sensing to intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, producing measurable, georeferenced 3D representations in all weather and lighting conditions.
Extends the platform to autonomous navigation, including GPS denied environments. It measures in 3D rather than infers.
